A stroll in the woods, magical, like all those Enid Blyton books I read as a child.
A candy floss tree.. magic! well maybe not.. bursting with seeds really lovely.
The old cart wheel, if it could only talk and tell us its history!!
Lichen on a stone ditch gosh its beautiful!!! The end of May, such a heavy coat of flowers on the whitethorn, is said to be a sign of a bad summer, I suppose we'll find out soon enough!
I was born and raised on a farm in County Mayo, Ireland. I continue to live and work in my studio there. I also run an art class locally. I am very influenced by my surroundings, the seasons and cycles of life and death which occur in nature. The shapes and forms one sees when looking through a microscope. A little bit of science and art maybe. The materials I use may vary from time to time, but mostly I work with encaustic and oils.
I make art to learn about things and to satisfy my need to create, get messy and for the sheer enjoyment.
Thanks for taking the time to browse this weblog....
